Frequently asked questions
How do I invite my partner?
Open the Tasks tab (or Settings) and tap Invite Partner. This creates a private invite link you can send through Messages, WhatsApp, or any messaging app. Only the person who taps the link and accepts it will be able to see your shared household — nobody else.
My partner accepted the invite, but their device still says "Joining…"
This usually means iCloud sync is still finishing in the background. Make sure both devices have an internet connection and are signed into iCloud (Settings → your name, at the top of the Settings app), then give it a minute. If it's still stuck after a few minutes, try closing and reopening the app, or check that iCloud Drive is enabled for WeTandem under Settings → Apple ID → iCloud.
Why aren't I getting notifications when my partner adds something?
Notifications rely on a few iOS settings working together. Please check:
- Settings → WeTandem → Notifications → Allow Notifications is on
- Settings → General → Background App Refresh is on for WeTandem
- Notifications are also enabled inside the app (Settings tab → Notifications)
- Focus/Do Not Disturb modes aren't silencing the app
Is my data shared with anyone besides my partner?
No. Your household data is stored in your own private iCloud account and is only made visible to the specific person who accepts your invite link. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
How do I leave a household or start over?
Open the Settings tab and tap Leave Household. This removes your access to the shared space. If you created the household, leaving will end it for your partner too, so use this carefully.
Can I delete my data?
Yes. Leaving a household removes your local copy of its tasks, notes, events, and expenses. To remove your iCloud data entirely, delete the app and remove its data via Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Account Storage. If you need help with a full deletion, email us and we'll assist.
Something isn't working — what should I include in my email?
A quick description of what happened, your iOS version, and whether it happens on one or both devices helps us fix things faster.
